About me

I am a self-employed education consultant and executive coach with 31 years' experience in the classroom as an English and Film Studies teacher, and 12 years at secondary senior leadership level.

My areas of expertise include curriculum design and school improvement; staff development and CPD delivery, including NPQs and ITT. I have considerable experience in the successful delivery of staff training on growing talent; training, teaching and learning; educational research; closing the disadvantage gap in schools.

I am an executive coach, working at ILM level 7 and have experience of coaching one-to-one in school settings at all career levels and, more recently, executive coaching in a variety of business settings with CEOs and senior managers.

I have extensive experience in school improvement at both secondary and primary level; in appraisal and review systems and in growing talent.

My approach is personable and pragmatic; evidence-based and empathetic; humane and with humour.
